Variations of this recipe can be found all over these days. I started drinking this about 5 years ago and I absolutely love it because it's really refreshing and a nice break from the monotany of drinking plain water! It's best when it sits overnight. Usually, I'll make a batch every morning. If you start to get bored with the flavor, you can switch it up by subbing grapefruit for ginger. Hope you enjoy!

My favorite part about summer is the beach! It's where I feel the most at peace no matter what is going on in my life. Nothing but warm, fuzzy memories come up when I think about all of the summer days spent on the beach with friends, family, or even alone.
About 7 years ago, I went on a long awaited trip to Destin, FL. I had been bartending for about 4 years and loved inventing drinks. I didn't want anything milky, like a Pina Colada, and I knew beer was out because it gets so hot so fast on the beach, but we wanted something yummy to sip while we soaked up the rays. I had won a bottle of Raspberry Smirnoff Vodka in a contest at work and brought it along, a friend wisely brought some powdered Minute Maid Lemonade Mix, there was a blender in the beach house, and that's how my Sneaky Raspberry Lemonade Slushy was born! It became such a hit that for years after that trip, we would make it at barbecues and every tailgate till the weather got cold. It's so deliciously refreshing and the vodka taste is masked by the mix of raspberry and Minute Made that it really sneaks up on you, so keep some water bottles near by! The Bubba Mugs work perfectly for the beach because the slushy doesn't melt like it would in a cup. However, if you decide to mix it up for something a little fancier, a fresh raspberry garnish dresses it up! Supplies: Blender Large Insulated Mug (my favorite is the Bubba Mug) Ingredients: 1 Liter Raspberry Vodka Powdered Minute Maid Lemonade Ice A little bit of water Steps:
